This policy explains what we collect through my508c1a.com, 508ministry.com and the 508 Ministry software, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Payment information	Processed by our payment processor. We receive confirmation and the last four digits, not full card numbers.
Account information	Login identifiers and authentication records, handled by our authentication provider
Usage information	Pages viewed, referring source, approximate location from IP, device and browser type

2. How we use it

To deliver the services you ordered and to prepare your documents
To verify who is contracting with us and to complete required screening before an engagement proceeds
To communicate about your file, including status, deadlines, and confirmations
To process payments and maintain business records
To improve the site and the software
To meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Who we share it with

Independently engaged attorneys where your engagement requires legal review or execution
Government agencies where a filing on your behalf requires it
Service providers who operate under contract on our behalf: hosting, authentication, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics
Registered agents and filing services where your order includes them
Where required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims

4. Advertising and analytics

We use analytics to understand how this site is used, and we may use advertising platform tools, including the Meta Pixel, to measure advertising performance and to build audiences from site visitors. These tools may set cookies and share limited event data with the platform. You can limit this through your browser settings and through the ad preference controls the platforms provide.

5. How long we keep it

Engagement files are retained for at least seven years after the engagement closes, because formation and trust records are frequently needed years later and because tax and corporate recordkeeping rules require it. Marketing contact records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.

6. Security

Access to client files is restricted to personnel who need it. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Uploaded documents are served through short-lived authenticated links rather than public URLs. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not represent that ours is.

7. Your choices and rights

Access and correction. Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
Deletion. Ask us to delete personal information, subject to records we are required to retain.
Marketing. Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message. Transactional messages about an active engagement continue.
Text messages. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. See section 10.
No sale. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

To exercise any of these, email support@startmybusiness.us. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The site and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Where information is held

Information is processed and stored in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you are sending information to the United States.

10. Text messages (SMS)

If you check the optional text message box on our forms and give us a mobile number, we may text you offers, reminders, and updates about your file from 508 Ministry and Start My Business Inc. Checking the box is never required to buy anything or to submit a form. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. We keep a record of each choice: the number, the wording you saw, the date and time, the page, and your browser and IP address. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes; text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

11. Changes

We post updates here with a revised date. Material changes are highlighted on the page.
